As a school board member, my primary commitment will be to prioritize students, supporting them in achieving the highest academic outcomes. Ensuring that students' educational needs and best interests come first is paramount to their success. I am committed to making student-focused decisions. From policies and programs to implementing data-driven best practices in our curricula, our priority must be fostering top-tier educational excellence and proficiency, along with personal success for every student. I am committed to ensuring accountability from our students all the way to our district administration. At a personal level, as a school board member, I pledge to be held accountable for my decisions and actions. Accountability at the administration and school board level can be demonstrated through comprehensive budgeting and stewardship, enhanced teacher support, and a steadfast focus on policies and programs that lead to students' academic proficiency. Our parents and community deserve transparent and prudent financial management with proper oversight to maximize resources that lead to student success. As a district partnered with families, we must hold each other accountable for achieving academic excellence that prepares our students for future challenges, ensuring they receive the education they deserve. Together, we can build a thriving educational environment of accountability that is rooted in student responsibility, district transparency, and excellence in educators.
United Community with Strong Partnerships
When we, as adults, do better, our students do better! Our children are looking to us. This is why I am committed to helping foster a more united community. Developing robust partnerships between parents, educators, and the broader community through active listening, building trust, and maintaining transparency is essential. When we recognize our differences but strive to find our commonalities and engage in conversations outside our comfort zones, we gain a deeper understanding of one another. As a school board member, I will be guided by my belief that collaboration, connection, and understanding are essential for the success of our entire district and community. By bringing together various lived experiences, diversity of thought, and fostering across-the-board collaboration, we can start to bridge divides, creating a strong community that works collaboratively toward common goals and outcomes in a cohesive and supportive environment that promotes each individual student to reach their full potential.
Teacher Supports Deliver Success
As a child of an educator and with years of experience in classrooms myself as a paraprofessional, I have found a passion for public education. I have seen and experienced top-tier public educators inspire and educate our future. Our teachers are our district's foundation and the cornerstone of our students' academic success. We need to ensure that teachers can teach without the distraction of being anything other than educators. By prioritizing investment in our teachers and providing them with the proper classroom supports they need, we empower our educators to deliver a high-quality academic education to every student.
